The Sauna Spot

Traditional Finnish wet sauna experience. The feeling and connection with others from spending time in this heated box, is one of peace, tranquility and well being.

Cold Plunge Spot

Go jump in the lake or cool down with some fresh mountain air and a cold shower for cooling down after wet sauna rounds. Located on the tranquil Paul Lake, facing Gibraltor Rock, nature surrounds you.

Have ½ a day to enjoy time out and away, we offer a boutique, small group, lakefront experience or you can stay here. The spot on a mountain, beside a lake, at the base of a ski hill, with mountain biking and hiking trails surrounding – we really are a special spot!

The spot offers a self guided wellness and experience circuit.

We know you’re special, we book only one group at a time, no need to share your spot (except with those you want to).

Depending on the amount of time you have, multiple rounds enhance the sauna benefits.

The Spot Micro Lodge is a modern–rustic lakeside retreat just 20 minutes from Kamloops, featuring private docks, a cedar sauna, cozy indoor spaces, a lively games room, and year-round adventure at the base of Harper Mountain. Frequently Asked (Sauna Visitor) Questions

What should I bring?

A bathing suit, towel, sandals, water bottle (good to hydrate before, during and after).

What should I not bring?

No outside food, beverages, alcohol or drugs, pets

Who Can Sauna?

Sauna is an inclusive activity, where everyone is welcome, with the request that all under 16 are accompanied by an adult and no one under 18 can complete the booking. Children can sauna with supervision and should go in for shorter lengths of time with lower heat.

When are you Open?

The Spot has a range of experiences on offer. We are open 7 days a week, with only community sauna spots open to all. Most of our bookings are for private celebrations, gatherings, retreats.

Can we walk in?

No walk ins.

Bookings are open up to 24 hours ahead, for same day inquiries give us a call or text and we can see if anything is open today.

Can we cancel?

Yes, you can cancel for a full refund, up to 48 hours for 90 minute and 3 hour sessions.

For 1/2 day, full day and overnight bookings we require 30 days notice for full refund. Up to 14 days notice, 50% refund, less than 14 days, zero refund with rescheduling option. We will do every effort to reschedule you to a mutually agreeable time slot. We know life schedules change quickly.

What can we take into the sauna?

Just yourselves and your sauna accessories – sauna hat, venik and non-glass water vessels. Please remove shoes before entering sauna and sit on one of the small seating towels provided

What do I wear in the sauna?

For community sauna sessions we ask that you wear a bathing suit or other comfortable covering such as a light robe.

Clothing is optional for private sauna use bookings. Seat towels provided for your use.
